The Twilight at Taronga Summer Concert Series is an annual summer ritual bringing together world-class live music, breathtaking Sydney Harbour views, and the power to protect Australia’s iconic native wildlife – and it begins on Friday February 6 for five back-to-back weekends at Taronga Zoo Sydney. The opening weekend sees the indie-folk-rock of The Paper Kites up first on Friday February 6. Perennial kids favourite Emma Memma starts Saturday February 7 with the Lil’ Twilight show at 10am and is followed in the evening by the rocking double header of pysch-folk masters Cloud Control and R&B-infused rock mavens The Preatures. Sons Of The East bring their country-blues-folk infusion on Friday February 13, and Valentine’s Day will be a night for couples to enjoy nostalgia and unforgettable tunes with Classic Hits Live as we’re treated to five incredible artists including Richard Clapton, Ross Wilson, Wendy Matthews, Mi-Sexand V.Spy V.Spy. One of Australian music’s all-time greats, Xavier Rudd has spent over 20 years stirring hearts and minds globally, and this extraordinary multi-instrumentalist will play on Saturday February 21. Beloved five-piece alternative rock band The Rubens play Thursday February 26, and award-winning singer-songwriter Vera Blue makes a welcome return on Friday February 27 with her elegant electronica. Rounding out the weekend will be the sun-drenched psychedelic grooves of Dope Lemon. Aotearoa New Zealand’s finest songwriter of his generation Marlon Williams plays on Thursday March 5, while Sydney hip-hop legends Bliss n Eso bring 25 years of party-rockin’ energy on Friday March 6. And what better way to wrap up the series than with annual favourites Bjorn Again, who will take us on a trip down memory lane with their ABBA endorsed tribute show!
