FAQS – Cancellation Information

It’s with a heavy heart that Taronga announces the cancellation of the 2022 Twilight at Taronga Concert Series.

This decision was not made lightly and takes into account both the safety of our concert guests, staff, artists, crew and broader community, as well as our ability to deliver an experience that meets the expectations of our guests who have purchased tickets.

We are extremely proud of the Twilight at Taronga experience which is renowned for its unique and energetic space. Regrettably, with the current public health measures in place and largely sold out shows that would see guests in close proximity and unable to socially distance, our event space does not comply with the current requirements for a COVID-safe event.

Taronga is a passionate and long-term supporter of the live music industry, with 2022 set to be Twilight at Taronga’s 26th year. As devastating as this is, the health and wellbeing of the whole community remains paramount.

All ticket holders will be contacted directly by event partner Moshtix and receive a full refund.

We would like to thank all of the Twilight, and Taronga community, for their support and look forward to coming back with another unforgettable series when the circumstances allow.

Taronga is a not-for-profit organisation with a vision to secure a shared future for wildlife and people. Events like Twilight at Taronga not only provide revenue to support Taronga’s vital conservation work in Australia and around the world, but also connect guests with wildlife and the pressing challenges they face such as this year’s support of Taronga’s Litter Free Oceans campaign.

Taronga Zoo remains open for day guests to visit, and to connect with and learn more about wildlife.

Cancellation Information

Yes, all ticket holders will be refunded. This refund will be processed via Moshtix and will include all on add-on purchases as well as booking fees. Please note the refund can take up to 5-7 business days to process. If you have any concerns, please contact Moshtix via logging into your account here.

The series takes place in unique and intimate lawn setting and with so many of the series’ shows now sold out, or close to, audience members will be in very close proximity to each other. Given this, it is not practicable to enforce proper social distancing measures, especially in a situation, as per the public health orders, where all attendees must be seated. Compounding the issue, Taronga doesn’t have the ability to allocate toilet blocks or hospitality areas.

Given its nature, we are unable to take a show by show approach to the series and must consider the event as a whole. What might work for some shows, won’t work for all, and so this decision has been made with a holistic view across the series.

No, this series will not be rescheduled. Unfortunately, a number of factors including artist schedules and daylight saving, as well as an unpredictable COVID situation do not allow for the series to be rescheduled.

Yes. We’re committed to keeping our guests, staff and animals safe, so there are some changes to the usual experience to ensure we are operating in a COVID-Safe manner in line with the latest advice from NSW Health. As a whole, Taronga Zoo is a predominately outdoor venue spread across 28 hectares which unlike the Twilight at Taronga series enables guests to easily socially distance and enjoy their experience in line with current public health measures. All guests who have booked a Twilight at Taronga Retreat Package will be contacted directly by the Wildlife Retreat at Taronga team to discuss their booking, with options to continue with an alternate experience, receive a credit or refund their booking.

Twilight at Taronga proudly supports the Litter Free Oceans initiative, which aims to protect our marine life and oceans. Although the series will not be going ahead this year, you can make a donation here. Any donation made today will allow Taronga to continue to support initiatives such as Litter Free Oceans, as well as continue to breed threatened species, carry on vital scientific research and deliver conservation programs here in Australia and across the globe.
