Ball Park Music

Brisbane’s melancholic pop masters Ball Park Music return to Twilight at Taronga!

Made up of five curious minds that thrive on musical experimentation, Ball Park Music’s inventiveness is like that of UK supergroup Superorganism’s playful collaboration, with the Avalanches’ ability to synchronise diverse genres, and Elliott Smith’s knack for carrying sadness with an honest wit.

Since the five-piece formed in 2008 while studying music at university, songs like ‘It’s Nice To Be Alive’, ‘Surrender’ and ‘She Only Loves Me When I’m There’ shave struck a chord with audiences and led Ball Park Music to sell out bigger venues each time they tour.

They regularly appear on the Australian festival circuit, including Falls Festival, Groovin’ The Moo and Splendour in the Grass.

Ball Park Music have played sold-out appearances at Summer Sounds, Summer In The Domain, Toowoomba Carnival, The Basin Concert, and Neck Of The Woods as well as their double-header at hometown favourite The Tivoli.

They’ve produced seven studio albums, with the most recent album ‘Weirder and Weirder’ receiving ARIA nominations for Best Independent Album and Best Rock Album.

We can’t wait to have Ball Park Music back at Twilight at Taronga again!
