Thelma Plum: 7pm
Kasey Chambers: 8pm
Australia’ s most hard-working country music songstress Kasey Chambers is making her debut at Twilight at Taronga presented by ANZ with support from indie-pop darling Thelma Plum.
Performing songs from her newly released EP Ain’t No Little Girl and forthcoming tenth album Dragonfly, Kasey Chambers’ live shows can often be interpreted as story-telling, showcasing the talents of an artist who has 11 ARIA Awards, 22 Golden Guitar Awards, 2 Americana Music Awards Nominations and 10 APRA Awards under her belt, holding the record for the highest awarded solo APRA Songwriter in Australia across 10 studio albums. But beyond accolades and album sales, Kasey Chambers continues to make her mark as one of the greatest musical storytellers of her generation. She has traversed the country playing music with her family since her teens, the musicianship that can only come with that kind of touring consistency, holds her as one of our most loved and lauded live performers.
After bursting onto the Australian music scene in 2012 as the Winner of triple j’s National Indigenous Music Awards competition, Thelma Plum has made a name for herself as a talented songwriter and spellbinding performer. Touring off the back of her most recent EP Monsters, which features the single “How Much Does Your Love Cost?” Thelma has sold out shows around Australia and will bring her stunning vocal display backed by her live band to the Twilight stage in 2017.
