You may bring a picnic, however no alcohol may be brought to Twilight at Taronga due to licensing restrictions. You may bring non-alcoholic beverages however, please note that these need to be in a sealed container to enter the venue. Alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, confectionary and ice creams are available to purchase at the concert.

Twilight at Taronga is an outdoor event so we would recommend bringing appropriate clothing for the weather on the day. Please keep in mind that the temperature can drop significantly once the sun goes down so we suggest you include something warm for later in the evening.
Driving or arriving by bus: Enter through Taronga’s main entry on Bradley’s Head Road. From 6.00pm you will be able to enter the Zoo grounds and take in the view as you follow the path to the concert lawns to relax and enjoy a picnic or hamper with friends and family.

While Taronga is a large venue, we do have neighbours on our borders that we care about. Please be respectful of our neighbours when entering and leaving the Zoo by being mindful of noise and taking your rubbish with you.
Of course! The best part is it’s free for Twilight patrons who purchased concert tickets to the show that night. Just show your Twilight ticket at the front gate to access the Zoo free of charge.
Please note: Guests will need to exit the Zoo by 5pm to join the Twilight at Taronga line for re-entry at 6:00pm. Valid only for the same day as your concert ticket.
Taronga is an accessible site and there is wheelchair access to the concert lawns and a shuttle bus is available to transport those who require assistance from outside Taronga Zoo’s main entry to the concert lawns both before and after the show.

Prams and strollers are allowed, however please follow our ushers directions to ensure you get the best spot for your set up.
Taronga’s concert lawns are unreserved picnic style, so picnic rugs are recommended. You may bring low level chairs for your comfort, however please note that Taronga staff will asks guests with tall back or high chairs to populate the rear section of the concert lawns. This will ensure all guests receive the same great view. Oversize or inflatable chairs and bean bags are NOT permitted.
Chillazy chairs are available to pre-order with your concert tickets or, pending stock availability can be purchased on the night. We recommend you purchase your Chillazy in advance to guarantee your seat as they are quite popular and often sell-out. Chillazy sit at ground level and can be used anywhere on the lawn.

You may bring your own food however, please note that Twilight at Taronga has a strict no BYO policy on alcohol. All non-alcoholic beverages must be in sealed containers to enter the venue. All un-sealed beverages will be confiscated by security at bag check.

Taronga is an all ages venue. This is a fully licensed event and BYO alcohol is not permitted. You may bring your own non-alcoholic drinks however, they must be sealed to enter the venue.
Bag checks will be conducted on entry and all alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages in un-sealed containers will be confiscated. Alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, confectionary and ice creams are available to purchase at the concert.
Please note that unsealed bottles of non-alcoholic beverages are not allowed in to the site (except for empty water bottles). All non-alcoholic beverages must be in sealed containers.
Yes, enjoy a chilled wine, beer or cider from the full service bar. Spirits and non-alcoholic drinks are also available and there’s a great selection of menu options available from various food outlets on the night. The menu caters to various dietary requirements.

The welfare of the animals in our care is always our first concern. Keepers regularly observe their behaviour and have never detected a problem since the concerts began in 1996.
The Zoo has commissioned an expert environmental monitoring agency to work with its Life Sciences and Behavioural Studies teams to assess any sound impacts from concerts or other events held at Taronga. Production guidelines are in place to ensure we maintain the comfort and safety of our animals at all times.
The Zoo measures noise levels periodically during the concerts and if the guidelines are accidentally exceeded, the volume is immediately reduced. Taronga’s noise management protocol can be read here.
Taronga is a not for profit organisation and funds raised by the series directly benefit the Zoo’s wildlife programs.
Patrons are advised that the use of all video and audio recording devices for either personal or commercial use is not permitted without the prior written consent of Taronga. It is a condition of entry that all patrons refrain from the use of such photographic or recording equipment.
To gain written consent from Taronga please send your accreditation details to email@example.com and the Twilight team will assess your request and get back to you within 48 hours.
Only accredited media will be permitted to take photos and videos from the front of stage. Should security find a guest recording or taking photos without permission they will be asked to leave the venue immediately.
As an outdoor event, Twilight at Taronga can be impacted by weather. Please note the concerts will usually proceed whether in rain or shine. Concerts will be cancelled only if the weather poses a safety threat to patrons, staff or performers at Taronga Zoo.
We strongly recommend you come prepared with wet weather gear: raincoats and ponchos and something waterproof to sit on in case of rain (umbrellas may used at the rear of the lawn only). Ponchos, blankets and waterproof backed picnic rugs are available to purchase at the show (subject to availability).
We endeavour to provide as much notice as possible regarding any changes to performances due to weather, however as weather conditions are unpredictable the status may change at any time. Weather updates will be posted on Twilight at Taronga’s Facebook page and Twitter account and, where possible, SMS.
Twilight at Taronga does not offer any refunds on tickets however, we will be happy to assist should you wish to change the name on the ticket for someone else. Please contact The Ticket Group to facilitate this change:
